The Perth Mint has announced production of “one-ounce Kangaroo Minted Silver Bars” struck in .9999 fine silver. These were released on June 6.
The 47.60 x 27.60 mm bars are 3.00 mm thick and come in protective acrylic tubes capable of holding 15 bars. Each tube is sealed with The Perth Mint’s tamper-evident security seal.
Like Perth’s gold bars, the obverse carries a repeating motif of a stylized kangaroo. The reverse features The Perth Mint’s LBMA registered mark on a table of radiating circles along with the inscription 9999 FINE SILVER which contains a tiny “P” mintmark within the last nine.
