BEP 8888 notes

Year of the Rooster is the theme of the latest Lucky Money Collection issue of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing.

According to BEP, the product features an uncirculated, $1 Federal Reserve Note with a serial number beginning with “8888.”

The Year of the Rooster 2017 represents good fortune and prosperity, signifying success in the New Year, the BEP said.

Price is $5.95 each and 88,888 will be available for sale. Bulk pricing is available.

The product’s first day of sale is Wednesday, Nov. 16 at 8 a.m. Eastern Time.

Household quantity purchase limit restrictions of 250 units for the Year of the Rooster 2017 will be imposed for the first week of sales.
