Should Native American dollars also be made in gold?

Yes, most certainly!

The image of First Nations (Canadian term) in gold would look magnificent.

Sales would be stronger than any projection our Mint could conjure, in my opinion. I have in mind the noted chiefs, braves and women who made a difference in their lives as well as in American history. I sent my thoughts, designs and recommendations to the Mint some time ago but received no answer or acknowledgment.

Generally speaking, there are too many options for all the Mint products. Relative demand for dollar coins is small. How about the dollar only being offered in gold? Maybe half-ounce like the First Spouse?

My reply to your question is simple: no, no, no. The U.S. Mint keeps trying to “make” money, feeding the public and coin collectors with coins or best yet “semi coins of the government.” My question is, why make a coin out of gold that was never gold. For example, the Kennedy half dollar and the several since. I ordered the gold half dollar so I could keep my collection complete, and by complete, I mean complete for the Kennedy collection.

Thank you for asking for my feelings. I am somewhat of a purest when it comes to my collection.
