Austria’s Colorful Creatures coins introduced last September have proved extremely popular with coin collectors.

The first two issues of the series were sellouts, with young collectors especially smitten by them.

On Feb. 22 the Austrian Mint released the third coin in the series, a colorful glow-in-the-dark tiger.

The 34.00 mm, 16.00 g cupronickel piece is designed by Anna Rastl. The face value is three euro.

As with previous issues in the series mintage is 50,000. Next coin in the series should be a colorful crocodile.
