New Issue: Recently Released Coins from Around the World – February 2026
Highlights from the latest international coin releases.

Estonia: For its first series commemorating outstanding Estonian women, the Lithuanian Mint has chosen turn-of-the-century journalist Lilli Suburg as the featured subject of its sterling silver proof €15 38.61-millimeter collector issue. The design—made by artists Tiiu Pirsko and Mati Veermets—shows a portrait of the feminist icon, who is remembered for founding Linda, Estonia’s first women’s magazine.

Morocco: The Bank Al-Maghrib has paired a new 250 dirhams, 28.28 grams, 925% silver and 75% copper proof commemorative coin with a 100-dirham bank note to celebrate the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, which was hosted by Morocco in late December through mid-January. Among the features on the issues, both show a portrait of King Mohammed VI on the obverse and the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium on the reverse. Courtesy of Bank Al-Maghrib.

Samoa: Downies Collectables is taking collectors deep into the ocean in the famed fictional submarine, the Nautilus, with its new commemorative $1 75-millimeter 99.9% silver and 340-gram copper coin for Samoa. Inspired by the iconic book Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne, the base rotates to show colorful underwater scenes through a porthole near the sub’s bridge. Ukraine: Among the new coin releases from The National Bank of Ukraine is the “Diplomacy” 5 hryvnias. The commemorative features an olive branch representing peace on the obverse, while the reverse shows a geometric pattern that symbolizes the complexity of international ties set above a triangle that conveys the stability of diplomatic activity. Inside the triangle is the seal of the Zaporizhzhia Army of 1648–1649. Courtesy of The National Bank of Ukraine.
