1933 gold $20 goes to London

The coin, which cannot be legally owned by collectors with the notable exception of the one that sold for $7.59 million in 2002, is taking a landmark European tour that takes it to the United Kingdom and six other European countries. The tour was arranged by the Samlerhuset Group, parent company of The London Mint Office.

This is the first time that the Smithsonian has sent an object from its numismatic collection on tour in Europe.
