What’s New in Bank Notes: December 2025
A selection of recently released issues from the December Bank Note Reporter.
Tajikistan
In honor of its 25th anniversary, the National Bank of Tajikistan has debuted a commemorative 100 somoni. This is the first time in 25 years that the bank has released a commemorative note, and it is the premier non-circulating issue that honors an occasion outside of national or state holidays.
Poland
A special edition 20-zloty commemorating the 1,000th anniversary of the coronation of Poland’s first king has been recently issued by the National Bank of Poland. The collector’s note shows the 10th–11th century Polish monarch, Bolesław I the Brave, on the front and the lance of Saint Maurice, the Gniezno Doors, and a coin minted during the king’s reign on the back.
