For many years, my favorite collectible coin has been the Panda proofs made in China. They are outstanding with excellent strike and design. I have been collecting them for 10 years, and they are outstanding watching the growing baby Panda each year. Unfortunately, due to the price of silver, the huge increase in coin collectors in China, and the Chinese government’s actions to reduce exports of Mint State and Proof Panda Silver coins, the price of the Proof Pandas is increasing significantly and testing my budget. These terrific coins are great collector coins for their design and investing.

Hands down, the Eisenhower dollar is the winner for me. I know this may be an unpopular answer, but hear me out. These silver dollar-sized coins, last minted the year of my birth, still popped up in cash registers occasionally during my childhood. My grandmother put them in plastic eggs hidden around the house on Easter.
But two things about this series stand out the most. First is the uncluttered obverse and heraldic eagle/moon landing on the reverse. I find them beautiful. Second, the series is affordable and includes silver issues and varieties. I own two sets, one containing uncirculated and proof examples in an album, and another certified by PCGS.
Eisenhower dollars are underappreciated and undervalued in my humble opinion.

Both the Standing and Walking Liberty quarters and Halves. Sorry, no modern coin after 64. Exception: Pre 1982 copper cents. 144 cents =lb. Copper over $ 6.00+ spot. Figure it out.

If we're including anything not current, I go for the Walking Liberty halves. They are by far my favorite. Big enough to see, no individual coins that are completely unaffordable, until you hit very high grades. Beautiful design.
