The designs of five silver medals were revealed by the Mint on Oct. 10. They will be issued in 2018 to mark the Centennial of World War I.

Each 90 percent silver dollar-sized medal honors a branch of military service in the American Armed forces during the war.

They will not be sold individually next year but instead will be paired with the World War I Centennial silver dollar.

Two soldiers fighting in the trenches, one cutting barbed wire, will appear on the reverse of the Mint’s medal honoring the Army for the 2018 centennial of World War I.

The Army medal will be struck at West Point.

The Marines medal has a view after victory in the Battle of Belleau Wood.

The Marine Medal will be struck at San Francisco.

The Navy medal shows a Navy destroyer with an “Over There” legend.
The Coast Guard medal shows a rescue at sea.

Philadelphia will strike the Navy medal and the Coast Guard medal.

The Air Service medal features a SPAD XIII plane.

Denver will strike the Air Service medal.
