Mexico
An inscription celebrating the 100th anniversary of Banco de México is featured on a new series of commemorative bank notes. Appearing like the country’s circulating notes, a legend near the bank’s logo on the face’s design reads “100 Aniversario 1925–2025."
Sri Lanka
A recently released limited-edition Rs 2,000 note designed by De La Rue for the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) honors the 75th anniversary of the bank’s founding. Along with advanced security features, the note’s face shows the CBSL Head Office, Colombo Lighthouse Clock Tower, and the skyline of Colombo. On the reverse is a map of Sri Lanka and a water lily.
