To honor the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary, the 2025-W American Silver Eagle marches in with a bold privy mark, enhanced security, and timeless patriotic design.
The United States Mint releases the special edition 2025-W American Silver Eagle to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army on June 13, 2025.
The coin features a U.S. Army privy mark incorporating elements of the official Army seal positioned just behind the LIBERTY inscription on the obverse. It also has an enhanced anti-counterfeiting feature: a missing-reed notch on the coin’s reeded edge.
The obverse design is a refreshed version of the classic Adolph A. Weinman Walking Liberty design, and the reverse shows Emily Damstra's 2021 landing eagle design.
