Have you found a 2018-dated coin in your change yet?

Here are some answers sent from our e-newsletter readers to Editor Dave Harper.

I got a 2018-D in my change a few days ago. Tempted to go back and see if they’ll sell me some rolls. They’re still pretty scarce though.

Yes, I did get a few 2018 cents in change. I even got a 2018-D dime in change. I do live north of Dallas, so don’t give up hope. More finds to be had by the end of April, I’m sure.

Here in Western North Carolina, we’re always a little behind in receiving the new coins of the year.

Except last year, I got a 2017-P cent in February. Still haven’t seen the “D” mint yet. To date, no 2018s of any kind.

This coin (2018-D Jefferson nickel) was received in change on Feb. 8, in Palm Springs, Calif.

I just received in my change this morning on 2/16/18 two Lincoln cents dated 2018 while getting coffee at my local deli here in Staten Island, N.Y.

Not yet. Hoping to find one any day now.

As I write this. I’m sitting in the Fort Lauderdale airport, returning home from a Caribbean cruise. While in San Juan, I was amazed to find two shiny new 2018 pennies in my change from a souvenir purchase (Feb. 13, 2018). Alas, the “P” mintmark is no more.

2018 cent? Not yet! Heck, I still haven’t seen a 2017-P cent! Where the heck are they?
