Slow advance continues for Buffaloes

Another week of slow down in gold proof Buffalo sales. The increase was just 2,597. The total for the proofs stands at 37,885 for the month of November. Sales of the bullion version jumped from 33,000 to 61,500.

Also advancing slowly is the Saint-Gaudens 2009 Ultra High Relief, which stands at 107,076, up 1,123 from the last “Mint Statistics.”

Under October bullion Eagle sales, 124,000 gold Eagles were purchased as of Nov. 27. That’s up 28,500 from the number of pieces listed on Nov. 19. Silver Eagles also enjoyed a slight uptick to 2,586,500, advancing from 2,235,000.

Though still well off its 400,000 maximum mintage, the commemorative Louis Braille silver dollar also moved up. Proofs now stand at 133,064 (131,726 the prior week) and the uncirculated version is 48,211 (47,728 last week).

Sales of the Braille Easy-Open Capsule option rose by 332, and the Braille Educational set, with a maximum mintage of 25,000, lists now at 10,003 compared with 9,626 last week.
