The 2010 proof silver American Eagle is apparently sold out as it can no longer be ordered online. The Mint raised the sales figure by 21,477 to 856,356 after it sat unchanged in the figure compiled for the week between Christmas and New Year’s.

The proof half-ounce gold American Eagle was also taken off sale and its sales figure was reduced by 166 to an even 10,000, 5,000 below the ceiling.

The four-coin proof gold set is also off the Mint’s website and its sales number rose this week by 3,002 to 36,029.

Even with the asterisk added to the numbers, sales figures can change as returns occur or the Mint reconciles its order books.

Only the quarter ounce and the tenth ounce remain on sale. For those who think the 8,392 quarter-ounce sales number looks low, they could be right, but somebody could also place an order for multiple thousands and change the potential rarity in a week.
