There were 50,000 ounces in gold added to American Eagle production figures. Most of that quantity went into one-ounce coins, though the tenth-ounce coin total doubled. Silver Eagles almost doubled, too.
One-ounce gold bullion American Eagles set the sales pace this week as 21,500 more were sold, bringing the running total for October to 29,000 and the running total for the year to 439,500.
With the Mint’s new focus on the one-ounce gold and silver American Eagle bullion coins, you will note that those were the only totals that changed in that box this week.
Sales of the fractional gold American Eagle coins fell dramatically from June to July and there was no action at all in the first couple of days of August.
