One Scout coin gone and one to go
Even though the weekly rate of sales declined for the Boy Scout commemorative silver dollars, the uncirculated version is virtually sold out with additonal orders are being taken from people who are willing to be put on a waiting list in hopes that someone ahead of them will cancel their order. Just 17,949 coins were ordered in the latest week, down more than 4,000 from the prior week. Prices have gone up as the initial discount offer expired.
Overall, 330,602 Boy Scout dollars have been sold and the Mint has just 19,398 left to sell and these would obviously be proofs.
Bags and rolls of the Hot Springs quarters have started with a bang. The initial roll number is already three-quarters of the last Northern Marianas number. No more 1,000-coin bags are being sold. It is now just the 100-coin bag.
Are buyers substituting 10 smaller bags for the larger one? I guess we will have to wait and see.
