Mint Stats: Waiting list going out of fashion?
Has the glamour gone out of being on a Mint waiting list for a sold-out coin? The question arises because the Mint website is still accepting orders for the Yosemite 5-ounce silver coin even as the headline last week said they were sold out with the waiting list proviso. Seven more days have passed and the waiting list is not complete for a 27,000-coin issue?

Interesting.
Grand Canyon coins just went on sale. If the Mint provided any initial sales figures, you will find them on Page 1 of the July 28 issue of Numismatic News.
No further Vicksburg or Olympic 5-ounce bullion coins have been purchased by the Mint’s Authorized Purchasers, so we still see the same numbers as last week. The July 4 holiday intervened, so that might delay both new orders and Mint-generated reports. Suffice it to say that the sales pace has slowed down for any number of reasons.
Initial July Eagle bullion sales numbers saw 386,000 silver and 3,000 gold ounces sold.
