Getting started in coin collecting is as easy as 1, 2, 3 when you get your advice straight from the Answer Man!

No longer available are the 2012 America the Beautiful uncirculated set, 2012 Hawaii silver uncirculated coin, 2012 American Eagle gold proof 1 ounce coin, 2012 Buffalo gold proof 1 ounce coin, Acadia National Park “S” mintmark rolls and Hawaii Volcano National park rolls “S” mintmark.

Not yet added to the sales list are the 2013 America the Beautiful 5-ounce coins, neither bullion nor uncirculated.

The Mint said it has begun production of the 2013 white Mountain National Forest and Perry’s Victory International Peace memorial ATB bullion coins, but production of the uncirculatd coins is on hold until mintage levels are set.

Take a look at sales figues for 2012 ATB bullion and collector coins. Sales totals are far below mintage targets. A good reason to take it slow in 2013.
