Mint Stats: Do coin buyers need nudge?
Perhaps everyone was paying off their Christmas credit card bills this week because buyers seem few and sales totals barely budged across a wide range of Mint offerings.

Sales of the 2011-W uncirculated silver American Eagle rose by 5,079 to reach 265,122. This is not a particularly large movement, but it ranks at the top of the list during this slow week. The Mint is promoting it, so perhaps next week’s numbers will get a little more frisky.
Bullion Eagle sales have slowed markedly since the January surge. Only 4,500 more 1-ounce gold Eagles moved out, bringing the running February total to 9,500 pieces. Silver Eagles moved higher by 265,000 pieces to reach 765,000.
No America the Beautiful 5-ounce silver bullion coins were sold this week, but the Chickasaw collector version has posted its first weekly sales number of 8,658.
Gettysburg quarter bags and rolls sold out, so the asterisks have appeared.
Next week I will have to make room for the Infantry Soldier commemorative dollar program, so take note of the 2011 commemorative figures before they go.
