The “Mint Statistics” pages are back after missing last week. The Mint is reworking its website and a casualty was updated figures last week. Even this week, the bullion coin sales numbers are only updated as of April 12 while the collector coin figures are updated through April 16.
Even with a two-week period, the 2017-W proof silver American Eagle added just 15,840 coins to bring total sales to 262,583. The Congratulations Set, which sold out in two minutes, goes on the page at 74,497. The Mint says 503 remaining sets will likely go back on sale at some point. This set was rocket-fueled because it has a proof 2017-S silver American Eagle in it. So far, this set is the only way to get the coin. The Mint promises more 2017-S proofs when the Limited Edition silver proof set goes on sale.
The American Liberty gold $100 added 958 coins to its running tally. Now 17,704 of a potential 100,000 are sold.
