February Bullion Sales Posted
As the calendar has turned from January to February, things are pretty quiet on the U.S. Mint sales front. There are no large spikes in sales to speak of.
Even the 2022 silver proof set and uncirculated set – our usual big performers – posted modest gains since our last report. The proof set has come up by 1,254 for a sales total of 237,627, and the unc. set sold 1,785 since our last report, for an overall total of 222,083.
A new product has become available for purchase from the Mint. The American Innovation dollar for the state of Ohio, commemorating the Underground Railroad, is now available in 25-coin rolls and 100-coin bags. Despite a release day of Jan. 30, the products are not included in the latest sales report from the Mint. Bags, rolls and boxes of the 2023 Native American dollar went on sale Feb. 6, but the timeline was too tight for these numbers to be included in the latest Mint report. We should see both of these dollars included in our next report.
The Mint has, however, posted February sales for gold and silver bullion coins. You’ll find updated numbers for the American Eagle and Buffalo bullion coins below.
