The Mint began selling the 5-ounce 2010 Yellowstone America the Beautiful silver collector coin May 17. The first 2010 collector version, the 5-ounce Hot Springs, had sold out a day or two earlier but the Mint was still taking orders from people who were willing to be put on a waiting list. I have put an asterisk by the 27,000 sales figure.
Word came of the May 16 sellout of the initial supplies of the first two 2011 5-ounce bullion coins. The sales numbers are 126,700 for each and the next three designs will have the same number available. This figure is 200 more for each design than the 126,500 previously reported as the target in the Mint’s Master Production Schedule. The extra coins went to the Authorized Purchasers in the usual manner.
Sales of the “W” uncirculated one-ounce gold Eagle rose by just 237 to 1,335. Proof gold Eagle sales also crept higher. Commemorative numbers hardly rose at all.
