2023 Proof Set Tops Sales Chart
With the calendar turning to November, it is clear that buyers are in holiday-shopping mode, and mint proofs are hot.
New to the charts this week is the American Women Quarter honoring prima ballerina Maria Tallchief. This release marks the fifth and final coin of the 2023 offerings in this program.
Other new additions are the 2023-S proof silver American Eagle coin and the 2023 American Innovation dollar proof set. With this report running through Nov. 5, the Silver Eagle’s total sales number of 168,942 reflects nearly a full month of activity. The American Innovation set, having been released on Oct. 26, has a total count of 47,611.
The biggest movement we see since our last report is in the 2023 proof set. Its current total of 323,396 brings it up by a healthy 21,965. The silver version of the proof set has also seen a decent increase. It has jumped by 8,064.
Silver dollars have also enjoyed sales bumps. The 2023-S proof Morgan dollar nears a 6,000 total increase for a total of 322,295, while the Peace dollar proof just topped a 4,000 increase for a total of 295,311.
