Earlier this year, Britain’s Royal Mint announced the launch of the first BU sovereign having "a special Matt finish," as opposed to the traditional Proof finish.

The reverse of the 2019-dated, 22.05 mm, 7.98 g, .9167 fine gold coin shows the usual Pistrucci design of St. George slaying the dragon.

If you order from the BRM, you have an option of having the coin packaged in a special “On This Date and Always” sleeve featuring a “Congratulations” card that you can personalize with your own message.

Mintage is 20,000.
