Four-coin 2010 Presidential dollar proof sets were put on sale Feb. 11 by the U.S. Mint.

The set, which is priced at $15.95 each plus $4.95 for shipping and handling, contains all four designs that will be released this year.

This year’s headliner coin in the set is the one for President Abraham Lincoln, the nation’s 16th President. The other three are the less-well-known Millard Fillmore, Franklin Pierce and James Buchanan.

With the Fillmore dollar scheduled to be released to circulation Feb. 18 and the others to follow in their turn throughout the year, the proof set is the quickest way for collectors to obtain all four designs.

The proof coins are struck at San Francisco and carry an “S” mintmark.

To order, visit the Mint’s Web site at www.usmint.gov, or telephone (800) USA-MINT. The Mint has placed no limitation on the number of sets that can be purchased.
