Price increases took effect March 18 for First Spouse medals and March 25 for all other medals.

For First Spouse medals the price increased from $3.50 to $5.50. They are 1-5/16th inches in diameter.

The 2009 First Spouse Five Medal Set will remain at $15.95.

The price for 3-inch bronze medals will increase from $38 to $42.

The price for the 1.5-inch bronze medals will increase from $3.75 to $6.

All other 1-5/16th inch medals will increase from $3.50 to $5.50.

The Mint says 3-inch medals have not increased in price since 2002 and the last increase for small medals was in 2005.
