Brad Ream and Kay Harpold of Banyas Barnesyarde have made available sets of elongated coins celebrating Halloween 2010.
This year’s Halloween set consists of seven new designs rolled on a total of eight coins: four cents, two nickels, a dime and a quarter. The dime shares a design with one of the cents.
The cost is $10 per set. Postage is included in the price.
The first cent design features three dangling spiders with “Dropping in on You” above and “Halloween 2010” below. This design is also used for the dime. The next cent design bears a large ghost and “Boo.” Above is “Halloween,” and below is “2010.” The third design displays a witch with a broomstick and spider webs on her dress, while the final cent design features a bat below “Happy Halloween 2010.”
One of the nickel designs has three sets of eyes peering out with “Peek-a-Boo” and “We See you!” The other design displays a jack-o’-lantern with a patch over its eye above crossed bones. The word “Spooky” is above the central design, and the year “2010” is below.
The single quarter design shows three pumpkins in various stages of becoming jack-o’-lanterns. A bat flies above this main motif, and “Making Halloween” is inscribed below.
