If you collect, a major part of the thrill is the hunt. This is true of any collecting field and is especially so with coin and paper money collecting. I regularly watch my change and sometimes pull a silver coin or a wheat cent from it, or a modern quarter I need.

From years of editing submissions to the "Coin Finds" column in Coins magazine, I know that you, our readers, have had greater successes. If nothing else, you have found searching through rolls and boxes of coins for collectibles to be an enjoyable pastime.

Everyone has his or her favorite place to search. Whether through visits to local banks or the careful sleuthing of pocket change, there's always a top method for finding collectible coins and paper money.

With this in mind, we want you to share your best numismatic finds with us and to regularly update us on new acquisitions. We all have a story or two about past great finds (key dates, silver or gold, Lincoln wheat cents, Indian Heads, war nickels and the like), and we want to broaden the exposure of these finds here on Numismaticnews.net as well as continuing to feature them in Coins magazine.

Tips on where to look and what to look for are also encouraged.

We hope that the introduction of "Coin Finds" to NumismaticNews.net will prove to be as popular an internet feature as the column has been over the several decades it has appeared in Coins magazine. It's the page most readers turn to first in the magazine and will likely be a "must read" online as well.

Send your "Coin Finds" to numismatics@fwmedia.com and we'll get them in.

Please include your name, city and state. Names and addresses will be withheld from publication upon request. The editor reserves the right to to edit for content, style and length.
