Fractional gold American Eagle numbers hardly budged, not because demand has receded, but because of timing issues. After the Dec. 3-4 flurry of sales, the next sale was slated for Dec. 14, beyond this weekly period, but it looks like the numbers will be 101,000 half-ounce, 100,000 quarter-ounce and 270,000 tenth-ounce coins next week.

Even golden dollars are beginning to run out. The 2009 Native American rolls have gone off sale and Jefferson and Madison coins will be terminated Dec. 31.

Braille dollars also went off sale.

The UHR Saint-Gaudens $20 numbers were little affected by news they go off sale Dec. 31. Perhaps next week’s number will more fully reflect the impact of the approaching ending date.
