Silver Proof Set Sales Under Way
This week sees two new products released from the United States Mint: the 2022 silver proof set and bags and rolls of the American Innovation dollar honoring the state of Kentucky.
After roughly two and a half weeks on sale, the silver proof set – first available on June 23 – comes in with a healthy sales total of 169,832.
For the Kentucky American Innovation dollar, we see 25-count rolls bring in a total of 11,682 and $100 bags on the board with 3,805. These totals include Philadelphia and Denver mint options for each product.
A big mover since our last report is the 2022 clad proof set. It has jumped nearly 10,000 since our last tally, bringing its overall total to 274,240. The 2022-W uncirculated silver American Eagle is also showing a nice increase of 7,614 from our last count. Its total now sits at 153,539.
In the bullion department, we find reported numbers for the month of July. Of note here is that year-to-date sales of the silver American Eagle has surpassed the 10 million-mark. We also see platinum bullion Eagle sales on the board. They have reached 14,000 so far in July and 77,500 year to date.
