The first three days of sales saw 27,949 P rolls and 27,238 D rolls sold. At this date it’s not known how many rolls will be offered. The Mint discontinued sales of the first two 2009 Presidential dollar rolls for William Henry Harrison and John Tyler when they reached 30,000 from each mint.
If you didn’t get them the first time around, now’s your chance to pick up some rolls of the 2009 Lincoln Formative Years cents.
The U.S. Mint announced Aug. 25 that it changed the “sold out” status on the two-roll sets due to some order cancellations. And the sales figures for last week show that.
Although sales of the rolls had been recorded at a sold out 300,000, the sales for the week ending Aug. 23 were recalculated to 296,000. Hence, some rolls for sale.
The Lincoln Professional Life two-roll sets, which went on sale Aug. 13, sold 152,146 units in the first three days and were up to 177,045 last week.
Interest keeps growing in the Ultra High Relief Saint-Gaudens gold $20 with sales up 2,259 to 82,959. That’s a bit off the mark set the previous week as sales climbed toward 3,000.
