Everybody seems to be on summer vacation. So I wonder what I am doing here as I adjust the running sales totals. There is not much to point to. Gold bullion American Eagle buyers took just 1,000 one-ounce coins. The 2012-W uncirculated gold Eagle, which presumably is being bought by collectors, rose by just 553, to reach 3,895. The silver one-ounce bullion American Eagle saw 465,000 go out the door this week, while the proof 2012-W total actually dropped by 44 pieces to 492,745. The uncirculated 2011-W silver Eagle moved ahead by just 558. The total stands at 297,299, a figure that is still below 300,000.

There were no sales of the 2011 Olympic or 2012 Chaco bullion coins. If you see a pattern, let me know. There were nibbles on the seven collector versions.

The Infantry proof commemorative dollar has still not reached 100,000 in sales. It rose by just 322 to 98,522.
