On the other hand, demand for the collector proof version of the 2013 silver American Eagle pushed total sales past 500,000 to reach 516,084, up by 38,827. Remember, this increase occurred in the shadow of the offer of the two-coin West Point silver Eagle set. Buyers once again taxed the Mint’s website capacity. They have taken 187,541 of these two-coin sets so far with a buying deadline of June 6. This sales number has been placed on the opposite page under the “Miscellaneous Offers” heading right beneath the number for the 2012 two-coin “S” set for comparison purposes.
