Sales of the one-ounce gold Buffalo proof coin moved past the one-ounce gold proof American Eagle this week. It stands at 9,391 compared to 8,775.
The first numbers are in for the uncirculated 2013-W gold American Eagle coin. Buyers took 1,448 of these in the opening days of its availability.
It is not a strong start, but then uncirculated numbers are almost always lower than proof numbers.
Sales numbers for the uncirculated 2013-W silver American Eagle rose by 11,579 to 116,149.
The 200-coin bag of 2012 Kennedy half dollars went off sale, so an asterisk was placed by the last sales total of 10,323.
Gold bullion American Eagle sales moved ahead in the one-ounce and tenth-ounce sizes. The quarter ounce and half ounce have yet to see a sale in the month of June. At the present pace, Eagle sales will drop below those achieve in May, which in turn had dropped from April.
