Mint Stats: Final 2013 First Spouse coins on sale

The Mint opened sales Dec. 2 for proof and uncirculated quality 2013 Helen Taft First Spouse gold coins.

Maximum mintage for the coins is set at 10,000 units across all product options. Customer demand will determine the ratio of proof coins to uncirculated coins produced within the total maximum mintage. Pricing will be based on the United States Mint’s pricing structure, available at www.usmint.gov/catalog.

The same goes for the 2013 Ellen Wilson First Spouse proof and uncirculated gold coins slated to go on sale Dec. 9, and the 2013 Edith Wilson First Spouse proof and uncirculated coins slated to go on sale Dec. 16.

Gold coins honoring Ida McKinley and Edith Roosevelt went on sale in November. To date the highest sales are of the Ida McKinley proof coin at 1,771.
