Debuting June 26 were the 2012 Presidential four-coin dollar sets, “P” and “D” mintmarks, priced at $9.95 each. June 28 saw the launch of the 2012-W uncirculated gold Eagle, the Montford Point Marines 3-inch bronze medal at $44.95 and the Montford Marines 1.5-inch bronze medal at $7.95.
On July 9, the Chaco Culture National Park 5-ounce silver uncirculated coin went on sale for $204.95. Given sales of 5-ounce coins over the past year, it’s doubtful orders will task the Mint’s computer system.
And, the final days of sales for the two-coin silver American Eagle “S” proof set reached 162,581 on June 28, seven days before the final sale date of July 5. Priced at $149.95, the Mint said it will be ready for shipping Sept. 28. Hmm, just in time for the holidays?
And if you didn’t buy an Eliza Johnson First Spouse coin, you lost your chance. On June 20, the proof coin was taken off sale. The uncirculated version was discontinued earlier in the month.
