The Disabled Vet dollars go off sale Dec. 13. They have not exactly been flying out of the Mint’s inventory, but on the other hand, the numbers do not seem low enough to be appealing to any fence sitter who has the idea of profit on his mind.
The 2009 District of Columbia and Territories proof quarter set will go off sale Dec. 30. This is the clad version of the six-quarter set. The silver version’s numbers rose by 1,647 this week to pass the 300,000 mark even though they have been off sale the entire prior week. It apparently takes accounting a while to catch up.
With the window closed for the proof one-ounce gold American Eagle, buyers are apparently transferring their attention to the four-coin set. Sales totaled 4,639, but more than half the supply remains.
