The U.S. Mint reports that as of Oct. 19, the Arches 5-ounce silver collector coin has outsold the previous release, the Shenandoah 5-ounce coin. Buyers have purchased 26,923 Arches coins compared to Shenandoah’s sales of 26,916. Both are still available.
Released on Oct. 16 was the Lou Hoover Presidential $1 Coin and First Spouse Medal Set. Buyers purchased 399 sets from release to Oct. 19.
Coming off sale Oct. 19 was the President Harding Presidential dollar $250 box from Denver. Collectors purchased 5,048 boxes since its release.
The American Buffalo gold bullion coin saw 4,000 pieces sold between Oct. 14 and Oct. 21, bringing the total in October so far to 19,000. This makes October the second best sales month of the year, topped only by 41,500 sold in January when sales of the coin began.
Sales of the one-ounce American Eagle gold in October stand at 42,000 coins sold so far. The total for all sizes is 91,000 coins, 2,500 less than the total sold in September, but with more sales days yet to be recorded for the month.
