This is the quietest week we’ve had in quite some time, both in terms of new Mint issues and sales of current items. No new products have gone on sale since the last report, and there were no show-stopping performers this week.
Nevertheless, leading the way are the first two issues of 2021, and the only items released this year for which sales data has been recorded: the 2021 Birth Set and the Happy Birthday Set. Sales were up by 1,085 for the Birth Set, bringing its total to 7,278, and the Happy Birthday Set saw an even more modest increase of 812 for a total of 5,916.
Rounding out this week’s top five sellers are the 2020 American Innovation $1 reverse proof for the state of Maryland, the 2020 American Innovation $1 (S) proof set and the 10-coin clad proof set with “W” nickel.
Bags and rolls for the American Innovation $1 for South Carolina have been issued as this is being written. On deck for release are the reverse proof version of the South Carolina $1 and the Martin Van Buren Presidential Silver Medal.
