Year-end Eagle guidelines set

Sales of 2005-dated platinum, gold, and silver American Eagle bullion coins will end on Dec. 9. Any remaining inventory will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis beginning Dec. 12 and will remain on sale until gone. These cutoff dates do not guarantee availability of all coins in all sizes.

The U.S. Mint has issued guidelines for the year-end ordering of American Eagle bullion coins.

Sales of 2005-dated platinum, gold, and silver American Eagle bullion coins will end on Dec. 9. Any remaining inventory will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis beginning Dec. 12 and will remain on sale until gone. These cutoff dates do not guarantee availability of all coins in all sizes.

The Mint reserves the right to cancel sales of any given item at any time, based on demand, blank inventory, production schedules, or other reasons. 

 The Mint will begin taking orders for 2006-dated American Eagle Bullion coins on Wednesday, Dec. 28. Mint officials expect to have a reasonable amount of coins on hand to meet demand. Call (800) USA-MINT (872-6468) for more information.
