Wood marks NY club
The Bath, N.Y., Coin Club released a wooden nickel at its spring show to celebrate its 50th anniversary.
More than 200 collectors attended the 21-table, 13-dealer event held at the local fire station. A highlight of the show was the attendance of a past club president from the 1960s.
The club hosts two shows each year.
The wooden nickel features a map of the state of New York with Steuben County highlighted. It represents the local area of Bath Coin Club’s near 50 members.
The wood is priced at 50 cents each. To order, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to Silliman’s Barber Shop, 2 E. William St., Bath, NY 14810.
