A wooden nickel has been prepared by California’s Delta Coin Club to mark the 45th annual coin show that will be held Oct. 17-18 in Stockton, Calif.
The show will be held at the Eagles hall in that city.
The obverse of the wood provides the name of the club and the show information while the reverse has a very large “45th” that dominates the design and gets the message across of what is being celebrated.
Examples of the wood were mailed in late August to members of the club with the monthly newsletter.
No price was assigned to the new issue, perhaps because the club might run out at the show.
However, the club can be reached at P.O. Box 216, Victor, CA 95253-0216. Routinely clubs ask $1 plus a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
