Whitman Publishing has created an expanded version of its Guide Book of United States Coins, commonly referred to as the Red Book.

The 384-page volume, called the Professional Edition, is intended for intermediate and advanced collectors, professional coin dealers, auctioneers and investors.

“The Professional Edition is a companion to the regular edition Red Book, not a replacement,” said Dennis Tucker, Whitman publisher. “Each book contains information that the other doesn’t, and each will be published annually.”

The Professional Edition is 45 percent larger than the regular edition book, at 8.5 by 11 inches, and is spiral bound. It retails for $29.95. A searchable DVD version is available for $27.95.

The Professional Edition products will be available online at www.WhitmanBooks.com, at bookstores nationwide and from hobby dealers and booksellers.
