Chicago Coin Club member Robert Weinstein was appointed a governor of the Token and Medal Society by TAMS President John Mutch, to fill a vacancy on the Board of Governors. He will serve until the next election cycle.
The vacancy was created by the resignation of current governor and CCC member Robert Leonard. Mutch appointed Weinstein to fill the vacant position of first vice president. He too will serve until the next election cycle.
Weinstein has held this position previously, and is a past president of TAMS, but the lack of qualified candidates for higher office led TAMS to amend its bylaws to allow previous officers to serve more than one term.
The Chicago Coin Club has at this point three past presidents of TAMS on the rolls – Cliff Mishler, Charles Ricard and Carl Wolf.
