Veteran's Day - Thanks for your service

Today is Veteran's Day. A day to refect on the service ordinary folks do when thrust by their nation into extraordinary circumstances.

When one reads about the horrors of the trench warfare of WWI and the massive losses one can certainly understand why the newer technologies were incorporated into fighting WWII. However, I am certainly not one to encourage war by any means.

I would like to see the politicians fight it out and leave the every day folks out of it.

Canada has re-intruced a poppy themed remembrance coin, and several other countries have recently honored their service men.

That is great. the citizen soldier has certainly steped up to the plate in recent conflicts to make a better life for those who can't do it for themselves.
