Harry Davis and Irene Carrillo of Northern California received 2011 American Numismatic Association Presidential Awards during the 24th annual joint Vallejo Numismatic Society-Fairfield Coin Club sponsored Christmas party at the Anheuser-Bush Brewery in Fairfield, Calif.
Davis and Carrillo are longtime ANA members, club volunteers and dedicated numismatic hobby workers who traveled to the southern part of California to be an intricate part of the volunteer team for the 2009 ANA National Money Show in Los Angeles. Both honorees have been dedicated mainstays at many Northern California coin club meetings and coin shows for more than 20 years.
They were selected by ANA President Clifford Mishler “... for their selfless dedication and graciously giving of time, energies and talents to the ANA and the Northern California numismatic community over many years. Both truly embody the spirit and meaning behind the ANA Presidential Award.”
Walt Ostromecki, ANA governor, presented the awards on Mishler’s behalf.
