Final Day at Berlin Wolrd Money Fair 2009

It's Sunday and at an average U.S. coin show that would mean little business, lots of early departures, a bit of dealer to dealer business and quiet times. At the World Money Fair, this is not the case at all. The Fair was, perhaps even a bit busier today that it was on Saturday. Lots of people shopping, plenty of money changing hands and still plenty of Mint officials to visit with.

The MDM booth offered a show special of all five German Mint commemorative Saarland 2 Euros for 10 Euro - face value. Packaged Mint sets for the most recent EU country - Slovakia was selling at rapid pace. The Royal Canadian Mint had folks striking up their own special World Money Fair medals with a pair of dies and a hammer. I struck two so I could bring one back to Iola for friend and fellow blogger George Cuhaj.

Yes, the day was hopping and business seemed good. It was a real pleasure to see that on a Sunday at a coin show.
