A new auction venture will be launched by Stephen Album Rare Coins and the British auction firm Wilkes & Curtis Ltd.

The sale will take place at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London.

To be called Horizon Auction, the first sale will take place on Oct. 2 at the Grosvenor House Hotel, 86-90 Park Lane, in London.

The sale will focus on the two firm’s key areas of expertise: Islamic and Indian coins. This will be the first auction held outside of the United States by Stephen Album Rare Coins and it will be Wilkes & Curtis’ first live auction.

Album’s Joe Lang said, “we are excited to be holding a live auction in London as we feel London is a prime location in the international world of numismatics and a great place for business. When the opportunity came along to hold a joint auction with Wilkes & Curtis we were pleased to get involved, as their strong business ethics and top level customer services are a perfect match with ours.”

Matt Curtis said, “As a growing company it is a great privilege for us to be working closely with an established and highly respected company like Stephen Album Rare Coins. We have successfully shown during our first two years of trading that we are a significant presence in the world of coin collecting and are happy to help our friends and colleagues conduct an event in our home town.”

Consignments are being accepted through July 15.
