A German highlight is a rare Hohenlohe-Neuenstein-Oehringen 1699 1 ducat of Johann Friedrich I, FR. 1335 (KM-22). Graded AU-55 by Numismatic Guaranty Corporation, it is listed for $3,950.
From Mexico is an 1873-Oa 10 pesos, “Balance Scales,” Republic, FR. 136 (KM-413.8). Just 3,537 of these were struck at the Oaxaca Mint, according to the catalog. This NGC MS-65 example goes for $3,950.
For collectors of British gold are two examples of a English 1 angel, ND, of Henry VIII, FR. 155 (S-2265). They are of the first coinage struck 1509-1526 and bear the Portcullis mintmark. The NGC XF-45 example is priced at $3,450, and the example graded NGC MS-62 lists for $5,500.
