A special Star-Spangled Banner Bicentennial Silver Dollar Set containing one proof dollar and a reproduction of the poem by Francis Scott Key that became the words to our National Anthem in 1931 went on sale June 1.
The poem was written after Key had witnessed a British bombardment of Fort McHenry near Baltimore in 1814. Despite the pounding, the fort continued to fly the flag.
Price of the set is $53.95. No more than 50,000 will be made. Each order will also be
assessed a $4.95 shipping and handling charge.
